Amber K. Kim, Ph.D.
Bio: Amber K. Kim taught secondary school in three cities: Plainfield, Atlanta, and Denver and then earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2012. Amber is a coach and consultant helping educators develop equity literacy and student-centered schools. She partners to create educational environments that resist harm, fight oppression, and strengthen and nourish all students and staff--particularly those who are marginalized, excluded, and suffer discrimination. Amber currently teaches at the University of Colorado (Denver and Boulder). She is an amateur Muay Thai kick boxer and a mother of three children, two cats, and a hamster.
